After weeks of practice, we finally gave our TED style talks! I'm so happy to finally have overcome this hurdle that I was so scared of at the beginning of the year, but I also kind of wish it wasn't over yet. I really enjoyed writing and practicing my talk, and while I was apprehensive about presenting to a large crowd, I'm glad I did.

Having the chance to educate others on a topic that affects me personally was a powerful experience for me and it's something that I think I'd like to do again. That's a little amazing to me, because public speaking is not something that I've ever sought out before. However, this experience, and the knowledge that I could have helped someone by sharing the way I did, is almost enough to make me seek out another opportunity like this one.

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to share something I'm excited about with other people. This was a valuable experience for me, and has given me a memory I can take with me and learn from.
